Retracement starting today! picture of the CAC40 from yesterday till today morning below… Timing in agreement with our detailed scenario (see previous posts: reminder of the post of may 6th: A possible timing for stocks this week could be as follows: boost end of day or tomorrow (a strong one) followed by a deep retracement (of a few %) @ the end of the week… but without breaking the uptrend configuration… Stocks are standing at a moment of truth facing major resistances as well as bonds are close to strong supports! It should generate some “extreme” hi/lo fluctuations and we need to monitor them this week. )

As expected yesterday, a boost at the end of day (French index) and a continuation this morning… We need to follow closely the next hours: a further boost is possible followed by a retracement that may come soon (before the end of the week)… We wtill have 3 long positions on French & US indices…

The end of day boost (from 16h french time & corresponding morning session for the US) expected in a previous post is there: on CAC40 (first plot) and SPX+NASDAQ (2nd and 3rd figures)…

We keep on monitoring the battle at these levels but our timing is perfectly ok!

With an hourly time scale, we can check that IEF (bond index) is bouncing with high volumes (first plot) & at the same time SPX is plunging (second plot) with a test of moving average (50 hours)… MACD signals are positive for bonds & negative for stocks… Nothing with a high significance at this time but the retracement of the recent stock run that we were expecting for the middle/end of the week could start today (1 or 2 days in advance w.r.t. our expectations)?! It is a scenario that we can not exclude as the stock bounce was quite strong last week…

However, the battle is only at the warm up phase… We have already booked some gains to keep our strategy as safe as possible and the remaining trades are protected with stop wins… We can observe and monitor the fight… All reports are available @ www.thestockcode.com with the ongoing positions (section Downloads-analysis & recommendations)…

We have been following the stock market bounce since a couple of weeks… We are careful these days with part of the gains booked and the other part protected by stop wins. Check all our positions @ www.thestockcode.com.
